1936

Setup of the Company "Cofranc Comptoirs Français d'Importation et de Transformation Réunis"

1966

Cofranc is renamed Cofran

1979

Cofran starts exporting to the middle east and is the first manufacturer to introduce Synthetic based lubricants on this market

1981

Cofran supplies BOUYGUES with lubricants for the construction of the Ryadh (KSA) university

1991

Take over of COFRAN by the worldwide independent manufacturer of lubricants

1994

The La Rochelle France factory is closed and the production is relocated in Nanterre France

2011

VINCI chooses COFRAN lubricants for the construction of a pipeline in Papua New Guinea and a highway in Equatorial Guinea

2015|16

COFRAN exhibits at the AUTOMEKANIA fairs in Frankfurt (Germany), Dubai (UAE) and Istanbul (Turkey)

2017

COFRAN continues its international network extension and starts exporting to South Korea, Mauritius, Albania and Benin

Opening of new distributors in the Middle East (Bahrain, Qatar and Iraq), Africa (Togo, Congo) and the Dominican Republic

All our lubricants are proudly designed and produced in France, at our Nanterre facility.

With a capacity of 40,000 tons, our historic plant in Nanterre France, is the starting point for all our shipments. Its close proximity to the Seine River and the quick access to the Port of Le Havre France are significant competitive advantages for better control of our logistics.

OEM-Approved lubricants

Cofran continually invests to obtain OEM approvals for its lubricants and works closely with manufacturers to develop lubricants that ensure the reliability and optimal performance of vehicle systems.
